This page has information on some journals published by societies affiliated to the BSHM, and some others
The International Society for the History of Medicine has direct individual membership,
and members of it receive the journal
Vesalius. It is published twice per year and
has substantial articles in English and French.
From the United Kingdom, subscription to Vesalius and consequently,
membership of the ISHM for those under 30 and over 70 is £17.50 and for all the
others £35.
Subscription cheques should be made payable to the British Society for the History of Medicine
and sent to the BSHM's National Delegate to the International Society:

The Royal Society of Medicine publishes the Journal of Medical Biography. This quarterly international journal has articles on the lives of people associated with medicine, and also on the afflictions of well known figures. Contributions and subscriptions are welcome from anywhere in the world. Individual subscription for UK and Europe is £79.00 per annum, supplements for postage elsewhere, and discounts for RSM members and some others. On-line subscriptions are also available.
The British Society for the History of Pharmacy (BSHP) publishes research work and articles of medico-pharmaceutical interest in its quarterly journal the Pharmaceutical Historian. For details see http://www.bshp.org
British Society for the History of Radiology Journal 'The Invisible Light' is published twice a year, and is free to members of the BSHR. For details see http://www.bshr.org.uk/
Lindsay Society for the History of Dentistry The Society's journal 'Dental Historian' has recently published the 50th issue and has expanded to well over 100 pages each issue. For details see British Dental Association - web page for the Lindsay Society
The Medical Sciences Historical Society (MSHS) publishes Medical Sciences History annually for members. For details see MSHS page on Institute of Biomedical Science site
Medical History is an international journal published by the The Wellcome Trust Centre for the History of Medicine at UCL. It is published quarterly, with a substantial annual supplement. It welcomes submissions from contributors anywhere in the world. It is also the journal of the European Association for the History of Medicine and Health. Individual subscription is £50 per annum, £85 with annual supplement. There are discounts for members of EAHMH, former Friends of the Wellcome Library and Centre, and students: Medical History is available online, free of charge, at PubMed Central. All future issues will also be added to PubMed Central, and made freely available at the time of publication.
PubMed Central also has the author manuscripts of articles published by NIH-funded researchers in various non-PMC journals. Similar manuscripts from researchers funded by the Wellcome Trust are available in PMC as well.

Historia Medicinae is a newly-founded student-run peer-reviewed online journal dedicated to promoting the study of the history of medicine. The journal welcomes students and recent graduates of all fields (e.g., history, medicine, the health professions) to submit their work for online publication. Our mission is to publish articles which cover a unique topics in the history of medicine from innovative and informed perspectives. The journal covers all periods of medical history from classical and ancient medicine to historical developments in modern medicine. It consists of short letters written on important individuals, inventions, and developments in medicine as well as longer analyses related to the history of medicine.
